MEET THE BARBERS
Ananda Tuyes
@ananda_tuyes
About Ananda
Ananda’s been working in spas and hair salons for most of her life, holding both a barbering and aesthetician license, so if you have any questions about our Baxter of California skincare line, she’s definitely the one to ask. She entered the world of barbering in New York before relocating to LA in order to specialize in men’s grooming and skincare services. When she’s not cutting hair, you might see her taking in a show at the Hollywood Bowl or shopping at Home Depot as she loves building things with her own two hands.
Barber Inspiration
She never ceases to be inspired by the knowledge, skill and talent of her fellow Baxter Finley barbers. Ananda also finds a good deal of inspiration from artists not afraid to take risks who strive to push past the boundaries of the norm. She counts among these people like Andrew McQueen, David LaChapelle and Bjork.
Hair Cutting Tune
Pretty much any 90’s hip hop or classic rock gets her in the zone.
Favorite Cut
Truly a Jane of All Trades, Ananda enjoys creating custom cuts that suit her clients’ specific needs. She loves to keep up with men’s fashions and style trends, incorporating them into her clients’ cuts and hairstyles in more wearable version that’s easy to maintain.
